HEAD OF DEPARTMENT IT and Computing TLR: 2C (£6,386 pa) Purpose of the Post To lead, manage and develop the curriculum area of IT and Computing To implement the Notre Dame High School Mission Statement, promoting and supporting the ethos of the school as a learning and caring community committed to following Christ’s teaching. Responsibilities of Post 1. To develop, assess and monitor the teaching quality and skills of staff in the department. 2. To lead the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources and schemes of work. 3. To manage the effective use of support staff. 4. To impact positively on the educational progress of all students of the subject. Additional Responsibilities Other duties and tasks as requested by the Headteacher in the light of the school’s development and changing priorities. General Responsibilities This is in addition to the duties and responsibilities laid down in the national Teachers’ Conditions of Service and the Teacher of Psychology job description. Line Management To line manage the staff of the department.
