October 2013 Preparing for Winter As cooler weather approaches, it’s time to start considering preparing your raingage for winter operation mode. Please consult the AIRMoN operations manual for further winterization information, and feel free to contact the CAL, if you need addition assistance or technical support. Reminder: Change in Sample Volume Protocol NADP voted to save all AIRMoN samples of volume < 50 mL, thus you should no longer discard ANY low-volume samples. Remember to ship the entire low-volume sample to the CAL for analysis. Back trajectories are included at the end of this report, and archived online at: http://nadp.isws.illinois.edu/dl/AIRMoN/Trajectories Thank you for your efforts to collect samples and run your sites. We appreciate your e-mails with questions, and for alerting us to problems and data issues. Please continue to direct your questions and requests to [email protected] or call 1-800-952-7353.
