List of Law Journals
 Problem:
 no relevant worldwide list or database of journals and
periodicals focused exclusively on Law, Jurisprudence
etc.
 impossible to find basic information of all the lawspecialized journals on one site
 databases and lists like Scopus or Erih Plus do not
mention all journals
Define footer - Name of the presentation / Your name / Unit, Office

 It brings many difficulties for scientists and law
practitioners those
 are interested in finding some national determinate
topics
 willing to publish their outputs in some particular
country
 in some countries public financing of R&D is bound to
existence of such specialized lists and databases
Define footer - Name of the presentation / Your name / Unit, Office
16
Objectives and impacts
 Objective: Brief, easy and simple database of
periodicals focused on law on the ELFA (IALS,…)
website
 database should allow searching under specified
criteria.
 Short-term impact: Solution to basic problems outlined
above.
 Long-term impact: Existence of respectable Law
database next to well-known worldwide databases under
the ELFA management and surveillance.
Define footer - Name of the presentation / Your name / Unit, Office
17
Main points considering the database
 Under the patronage of ELFA and on ELFA web site
 The listed periodicals have to comply minimal criteria like
ISSN and per-review
 The involvement in the database shall be voluntary for
each country
 No financial expense on the site of involved countries
 There should be approx. 2 members per country with the
entitlement to data input
 Manual for the database and data input will be prepared
by Faculty of Law MU and ELFA
