THE LIFE OF BRIAN PICCOLO

ABOUT BRIAN
Brian’s full name is Louis Brian Piccolo.
 He was born in Pittsfield, Massachusets
 Born on October 31st, 1943
 He was the youngest of three sons, Joseph and Irene
Piccolo.
 Weighs 206 lbs. and is 6 ft. tall

EARLY LIFE
Brian and his brothers were running backs in his
Highschool football team.
 Brian also played baseball, which he considered his
primary sport.
 Later on he graduated from Wake Forest.
 He got a scholarship from Wichita State for college
football.

PICCOLO’S NFL CAREER
Brian Piccolo tried for the Chicago Bears as an agent but
he got in the team.
 He got in the team in the 1965 season.
 In 1969, Piccolo has finally earned a place in the starting
line up as a fullback.
 Gale Sayers is Brian’s bestfriend

SICKNESS
On November 16th Piccolo removed himself from the
game in Atlanta.
 During the game, Brian Piccolo had trouble breathing on
the field.
 The team returned to Chicago so he can get a medical
exam.
 Later on, Brian found out he had embryonal cell
carcinoma.

DEATH
Piccolo got a surgery and then had to remove his tumor.
 He also had to get his left lung taken off.
 Later on, he got chest pain because of cancer.
 He died on June 16th, 1970 at the age of 26.

