National Schools’ Biathle Championships 2017
The National Schools’ Biathle Championships 2017 will take place at Leweston School on Sunday 18 June 2017.
The event is open to all schools in Great Britain. The provisional program for the event is as follows:
09:30 - Athletes Registration
10:30 - Course Briefing and Walk Course
11:00 - Race One (starting with heats or Year 3)
14:00 - Prize Giving
15:00 - Depart

This is an individual competition and team event. You do not have to be included in a team to take part; if you have
three or more competitors from the same school and age group, this will make up a team. The best three competitors
(boys’ team and girls’ team) in each school year will make up a team. The team event will be decided on each athlete’s
race positions in their age group. If there are more than 16 competitors in one age group, they will compete in heats
before being selected for the final.
Rules
All competitors must wear tops throughout the Biathle race. Footwear must not be worn during the swim. Footwear
must be worn for the two running elements of the race.
Each competitor will be given a box number prior to their race; this is the number of the box that the athlete must use
in the transitions for their goggles, shoes etc. when not required. Swim caps may be worn for the swim and run, but
any item that is discarded must be placed into the correct box. Anyone discarding any item during the race will risk
disqualification.

electronically.
