Leadership Coaching Task Force Update

Leadership Coaching
Taskforce (LCTF) Update
October 3, 2011
LCTF Purpose
•
To revamp the Leadership Coaching Committee (LCC) by
establishing a strategy and operational guidelines which align the
committee with the Society Strategic Plan. This includes:
•
•
•
•
Advising on needed changes to current committee infrastructure.
Defining preferred delivery mechanisms and criteria for success.
Developing metrics and tracking and reporting mechanisms to
evaluate success of the program and coaches.
Providing recommendations on how the LCC can more closely work
with the Collegiate Leadership Coaching Committee (CLCC) to
eliminate duplicate efforts and streamline processes.

Possible Recommendations
• Leave LCC as is, but incorporate CLCC
functionality.
• CLCC and LCC merge together
• A combined committee would still primarily
provide the same services as now, but the
administrative structure would be new.
Possibly more deputy chairs. An official chairelect may be needed to learn the ropes in
such a large organization. Then for each
region there would be 1 or 2 head coaches.
See next slide.
Next Steps
• Ensure the involvement of CLCC in
discussions as this may impact their
committee.
• Ensure the involvement of neutral parties
• Ensure we are considering all possible
recommendations.
• Complete paper.
