Thank you for your interest in the Headteacher post at our Nursery. Ightenhill Nursery School has
been rated as outstanding by OFSTED at its last inspection in October 2014.
Due to the retirement of the Headteacher, the Governing Body are looking to appoint a successor who
can continue to maintain the outstanding rating and build on all the foundations laid by the current
Headteacher and her team.
Ightenhill Nursery School is located just off Padiham Road on the outskirts of Burnley. The Nursery
has strong links with Ightenhill Children’s Centre and Ightenhill Primary School, which are both
nearby.
Our Nursery caters for up to 90 children, with an option for parents to enrol their children in our
‘Munchkins Club’, which provides care outside of normal nursery hours.
We are extremely proud of our Nursery and the person appointed will be joining a motivated,
experienced and hardworking team.
We are committed to developing a ‘Forest school’ provision; the person appointed will have a passion
for this too.
Leadership pay scale is L6-L13, dependent upon experience.
