 8:00 a.m. Shotgun start – September 13, 2010
Cottonwoods Golf Course at Harrah’s Casino Tunica.
 Entry Fee – $1,000 per team (or $250 per individual player).
 Awards Presentation, Lunch and LIVE / SILENT AUCTION immediately afterwards.
 Putting Contest – $20 per putt, two putts max (no qualifying round; see rules).
 Mulligans – $20 for two (use one for each nine, anywhere EXCEPT Prize shots).
 Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in tournament play.
 Special Hole-in-One prizes on all Par 3’s, including a 2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe on Hole
#16 (sponsored by INFINITI of MEMPHIS).
 Prizes for Closest to the Pin on Par 3’s (4, 8, 12, & 16), Longest Drive on #13.

Tournament Rules of Play

PAR IS YOUR FRIEND!! Teams can score no worse than par on any hole. Tournament format is four-person scramble.
All four players will tee off and then choose the best shot. The players will continue playing the best shot until the hole has
been completed. The hole is considered complete when a team member has holed a putt OR par is exceeded on the hole.

Men will play from the Gold tees, ladies will play from the RED tees, and seniors, 60+, will play from the WHITE tees.

Every team must use at least 1 drive from each team member, on any one of the 18 holes.

INROUND PUTTING CONTEST – $20/putt per player to participate, no preliminary qualifying round.

You may purchase 2 mulligans (1 for each nine) for a charge of $20 before tournament play begins.

Players can move their ball ONE CLUB LENGTH – no closer to the hole – through the green (not ON the green). Balls on the
fringe of the green may NOT be moved onto the putting surface.

Selected shots lying in a hazard (including bunkers) must be played from the hazard by all four team members. Bunkers may
be raked between shots.

Out-of-bounds defined by white stakes, fences and perimeter roads. Red stakes identify lateral water hazards. Yellow stakes
identify water hazards. Nature Areas are played as lateral water hazards. White stakes with green tops identify Nature Areas.

Drop Areas on holes 5, 8, 16, and 17 – if selected tee shot goes into water, proceed to most forward tee box.


Putting Contest Rules
There will be a $20 per putt per person entry fee required to participate (maximum of two putts – $40 total), and
there will be NO preliminary qualifying round. Your entry fee buys you up to two opportunities to win one of the
many great putting contest prizes. You may either include your entry fee in your payment upfront or pay at the
registration table when you check in for the tournament.
The putting contest will take place throughout the course of the day as each foursome is making the turn
between the 9th green and the 10th tee box. After the putting order is determined, the group will then attempt their
“money putts” where each contestant will have up to two tries to putt for the prizes. After each contestant’s putt has
stopped, the distance from the hole will be recorded. For players purchasing two putts, ONLY the closer putt of the
two will be recorded. Each participant will be allowed a total of two putts, at a cost of $20 per putt.
If more than one player sinks the putt during the contest, a single ball putt-off (w/ no practice round) will take place
immediately following tournament play to determine the winners.
The player with the shortest distance to the hole (after all putt-offs) will get their choice of awards. The next closest will
then receive their choice, continuing until all prizes are awarded.
Putting contest winners will be announced at the luncheon immediately following tournament play.
Inclement Weather Policy: In the event of marginal weather, unless the golf course is deemed closed by the Director
of Golf, all scheduled play will occur. The Links at Cottonwoods will issue rain checks.
