Kindergarten: Unit 5

Unit 5: Exploring Addition and Subtraction within 10
Note: Although the focus of this unit is addition and subtraction within 10, it is also important to continue
writing numbers 0-20, to represent objects with a written numeral, and to represent the relationship between
numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
 For the first weeks, continue the activities from Unit 4 in Math Work Stations. Gradually transition to
Unit 5 activities, after they have been introduced in whole-class lessons.
