Hurling Blitz Report by Ruairí,Ope, Patrick,
Daithí
On Thursday we went to Loreto to play a hurling blitz. There were two teams from St Mary’s Primary
School and two from Gainstown. Our first match saw our two teams up against each other. The
A-Team won it. The top scorer of team-A was Caoimhin Duncan. Gainstown played each other and
Gainstown blue won their first match. The next match was St.Mary’s-A v Gainstown A team. The
score of the game was 4-4. Up next was St Mary’s B vs Gainstown B, with the score ending 1-3 to
Gainstown. The next match was St Mary’s A vs Gainstown B the score 4-2 to St Mary’s. The last
group match was St.Mary’s B vs Gainstown A. The score was 4-2 to Gainstown. The top scorer for
the B-team was Ruairi Woods.
The FINAL was St Marys A vs Gainstown A. The match was tight, until the end when Caoimhin
Duncan scored the winner. This was the table
