One last chance to change the configuration of the software install settings or to Cancel the

If you have not assembled the CubiScan equipment you will need to have this completed to
finish the setup process of the software. Once you have completed the assembly connect the
PC or Laptop to the CubiScan. Supplied with each CubiScan is a USB to serial connector and a
serial cable to help with process. You can also connect thru your network, on some CubiScan’ s
this requires a crossover cable or network switch to communicate. After the CubiScan is setup
and the connection is made between the PC and CubiScan power on the CubiScan.
On the PC start the Qbit-Xfer software by clicking on the Desktop shortcut or navigate to All
Programs to the folder Qbit-Xfer find the Icon for Qbit-Xfer and open it.
You are now ready to personalize the software to your environment and to meet the needs of
the company.

CubiScan Tab
Unit of Measure Options
Dimension Units: Defaults to Inches. It also has the options of Millimeters or Centimeters.
Weight Units: Defaults to Pounds. It also has the options of Ounces, Grams, Kilograms
Volume Units: Defaults to Cubic Inches. It also the options of Cubic Feet, Cubic Millimeters,
Cubic Centimeters, and Cubic Meters.
CubiScan Options
Communication Ports: If you use the serial connection you will need to find the port assigned by
the PC. You will find the port number used under the Device Manager.
Network Port: If you use the Ethernet connection this setting will need to be configured.
CubiScan Model: Select the CubiScan Model that you have purchased.

Data Format Options
Length, Width, Height, and Weight are enabled by default. Volume if used needs to be “Enabled”.
Rounding: Here is the option to “Round Up”, “Round Down”, and “True Rounding”. The default is set to
“None”
Decimal Rounding Precision: To use the “Decimal Rounding Precision” you must select an option other
Than the “None” option
Field Order: The order in which CubiScan data is populated to the Windows Screen
Subsequent Cursor Movement: The amount of cursor movement from one screen location to the next
screen location
Universal Settings
Initial Cursor Movement: The number of times the curser will be advanced before CubiScan data is sent
to the Windows cursor location
Cursor Movement Time Delay: Delay before the cursor is advanced.
Numeric Decimal Separator: Can be set to any character that is needed.
Target Window Name: The Window name where Qbit-Xfer will place the CubiScan Data. You have
10 characters to identify the Window name found within the Windows title bar.

Cursor Movement Type: Select what the movement will be “None”, “Tab”, and “Enter”.
Show “Measuring” Message Window: Will show the measure window while it is measuring
Close Qbit-Xfer After Each Measurement: Opens and closes the software for each measurement.
Note: This option is used so that the program will close after each measurement

Send <Enter> Key After Final Cursor Movement: Will send the enter key to the current Window that has
focus.
