DAIKO 1 Ni
DATA SHEET N. 5001
MIG & TIG Wire
Description / Alloy type:
Low alloy copper coated solid wire for improved toughness steels
Specifications:
AWS A5.28
ER80S-Ni1
Applications:
Wire designed for welding low-alloy steels with 1% Ni and fine grain steel
as well as for low temperature applications. Suitable for the construction
of offshore platforms, pressure vessels and pipelines and also for welding
higher strength steel structures where PWHT is impracticable but
toughness and crack resistance are required.
Materials to be welded:
CMn steels with yield stress of 450 MPa or where good toughness is
required down to -50°C, such as:
ASTM: A333 & A334 gr. 6; A350 gr. LF2 & LF5; A352 gr. LCB & LCC;
A131 Gr. A, B, D, E.
API: 5L X42 / X46 / X52 / X60 / X65
BS: 4360 gr. 43E, 50E, 55C, 55EE, 55F.
