KickStart Breakfast Awards Terms and Conditions Prizes Club of the Year Award: $5,000. Unsung Hero Award: $3,000. Student Champion Award: $3,000. Who is Eligible? The competition is open to all schools which have been participating in the KickStart Breakfast programme for more than one complete school term (each an “Eligible Entrant”). The promotional period begins on 7 June 2016, and entries will remain open until 5pm on 1 July 2016 (“Promotional Period”). How to Enter To enter, the Principal of an Eligible Entrant must either complete the applicable online application form relating to the particular award or, in the event that any other person completes the application form, endorse that application. Once completed, the participating school must submit the form to the KickStart Breakfast team, either: a) by email to [email protected]; or b) by post to: The KickStart Breakfast Programme c/o Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited PO Box 417 Wellington 6140 Winners There will be one winner per category. The winner will be the person or school (as applicable) judged by the KickStart Breakfast Judging panel to be the winner in each award category (details of the judging panel may be found on https://kickstartbreakfast.co.nz/ksbawards-callforentries and details of the judging criteria for each award may be found on https://kickstartbreakfast.co.nz/ksbawards-entrycategories). After the completion of the Promotional Period, the judges will meet in order to determine the winner of each award. The winner of each award will be announced during Term 3 2016 following the final meeting of the judges to assess the entry forms. The winner will be contacted by the KickStart Breakfast team and an announcement will be made via the KickStart Breakfast website. Award terms and conditions 1. The instructions on how to enter, the eligibility requirements and the information relating to the prizes and the winners form part of these terms and conditions. 2. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid. 4. Each Eligible Entrant may enter only once in relation to the Club of the Year Award. However, provided that each nomination is accompanied by its own application form, each Eligible Entrant may nominate multiple persons for each of the Unsung Hero Award and the Student Champion Award. 5. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 6. Supporting pictures, video clips and documentation may be submitted to supplement entries. By including these in the completion entry, you are granting the Promoters the right to use the information on their websites, social media sites and any other medium used by the KickStart Breakfast programme. Each Eligible Entrant warrants that they have permission to film/photograph the persons featuring in the video clip. 7. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the validity of all entries in order to determine their eligibility and reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry. 8. The Promoters are not responsible for any entries that are late, misdirected or lost and takes no responsibility for any entries not lodged correctly through the KickStart Breakfast system or if the winner cannot be contacted due to incorrect or outdated contact details being recorded on the KickStart Breakfast system. 9. All entries are deemed to be received at the time of the receipt in to the KickStart Breakfast system and NOT at the time of transmission by the entrant. 10. In the event that any prize item is unavailable despite the Promoters’ reasonable endeavours to procure within New Zealand, the Promoters reserve the right to substitute a different prize item of equal or greater value. 11. The Promoters will only pay the prizes to a New Zealand bank account. 12. The Promoters will pay the prize for the Club of the Year Award in the form of cash to the winning schools bank account. The winning school shall ensure that all prize money received from the Promoters is spent on the KickStart Breakfast programme at the winning school. 13. The Promoters will pay the $3,000 award for the Unsung Hero and the $3,000 award for the Student Champion in cash to the bank account of the school at which the prize winners are involved in the KickStart programme, unless otherwise agreed with the prize winner. Each school will be responsible for transferring those amounts to the winner of each award. 14. The Promoters are not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 15. The Promoters are not responsible for the transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, either caused by user error or any equipment or programming malfunction associated with the promotion. 16. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the promotion, the Promoters reserve the right, in their sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant regulatory authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoters may in their sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. 17. The Promoters reserve the right to determine an alternate winner if the Promoters determine in their sole discretion that the winner does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or KickStart Breakfast Programme T: 0800 900 070 E: [email protected] where the Promoters have reasonable grounds to believe the winner will not comply with these Terms and Conditions. If a winner does not wish to claim the Prize, they may nominate another person to whom the prize can be transferred to. However, the prize must not be sold or used, donated or given away as part of another promotion. 18. The Promoters reserve their rights to vary any of the terms of entry applying to this promotion or to modify, terminate, suspend or reschedule this promotion. 19. The Promoters of this competition are Fonterra Co-Operative Group, Sanitarium & the Ministry of Social Development, being the partners of the KickStart Breakfast Programme. Use of Personal Information All entries remain the property of the Promoters. All personal information will be collected and stored by the KickStart Breakfast team in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to access your personal information and request correction of any errors in it pursuant to the Privacy Act 1993. The KickStart Breakfast partners may use entrants' personal information from entries to conduct the promotion and for its own future promotional and publicity purposes.
