SPORT MANAGEMENT – HOCKEY GAME OPERATIONS INTERNSHIP
FALL INTERNSHIP
1 Position with the Lakeshore Canadiens (Ontario Junior C Hockey Team)
1 Position with the LaSalle Vipers (Ontario Junior B Hockey Team)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Game day operations - must be available for most home games:
LaSalle Position = Wednesday nights
Lakeshore Position = Friday nights
o Update twitter feeds
o Interact with fan base and sponsors
o Be present at games to ensure sponsors are getting “plugged” during the game as scripted
Assist with scripting
Ensure all marketing materials are sent to production in time
Tracking data: Location of production materials, procuring creatives from clients
Assisting with community events
Being the team mascot as needed (Vinny Viper in LaSalle and Bucky Beaver in Lakeshore) (the
lakeshore intern will need to suit up far more often than the LaSalle Intern)
