How to Play Wall Ball
Two to four players at a time may play. The server, using the playground ball, hits the ball down
to the ground so that it bounces up against the wallboard. The next player hits the ball in the
same manner. The ball may bounce only once before being hit, it may also be hit without
bouncing first. The ball must stay on the blacktop. If the ball touches the edge first, it is still in

turn.
3. Observers who step on the court while waiting for a turn will not be allowed to play.
4. There are no re-dos. Once a rule has been broken or a player is out he goes to the end of
the line.
5. Everyone has the opportunity to lay-up. No “friendsies.”
6. Keep the game moving.
7. Hitting the ball across the court at an angle is known as a strategy and is therefore
legal. This is known as cross-country.
