Sample Letter Requesting Support to Attend TCEA 2017
I am writing to request approval to attend the TCEA 37th Annual Convention & Exposition
(www.tceaconvention.org) held in Austin, Texas on February 6-10, 2017. This conference will build my
skills and empower me to integrate technology in my classroom, using the tools already available to me,
and I’ll return with new ideas, lessons, and approaches that will engage students and improve learning
outcomes.
Premium Registration is $299 and includes the full five days; however, I can customize my schedule to
maximize my time with more than 900 sessions offered throughout the week. Premium attendees enjoy
unlimited access to sessions and events, which would help me make the most flexible and cost-effective
registration option.

The Basic Registration fee for TCEA 2017 is $209. With this option, I’ll be able to attend sessions
Wednesday through Friday, connect with other educators in a variety of digital playgrounds, attend two
keynotes, and meet other edtech innovators at a variety of peer-to-peer events.
By attending TCEA 2017, I’ll build my content knowledge while learning new strategies and skills. After
the convention, my new ideas and energy will help empower my colleagues, and I’ll be able to share the
information and ideas that will work best for our campus. My one-year TCEA membership ensures I’ll
have the resources and support I need to integrate technology into the classroom most efficiently and
effectively.
