Delano JO Tournament Details – Sunday, March 19th

Matches
4 Team Pool Play: 2 Sets to 25 (27 point cap)
5 Team Pool Play: 2 Sets to 18 (20 point cap)
Warm-ups will be 10 min (2-4-4) the first two rounds for 11/12s and 10 min (2-4-4) the first three rounds for the
13/14s. All following matches will have a 5 min (1-2-2) warm-up.
Play-offs: 2 out of 3 sets (25, 25, 15; no cap)
*Do not switch at 8 points in third set.
Single Elimination Tournament; Tournament play will begin immediately once all pools are completed.
Medals will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place in Gold (12s & 14s), 1st place in Silver (12s & 14s), 2nd place in
Silver (12s), and 1st place in Bronze (12s & 14s)
11/12s – Teams Seeded 1-4 will go to Gold; Teams 5-8 will go to Silver; Teams 9-12 will go to Bronze
Seeding will be determined by (A) Pool Points (3 points will be awarded each match - 1 per set won, and the 3rd for the
largest point difference); (B) Pool Placing; (C) Point Differential For All Pool Play Matches; (D) Coin Toss
13/14s – The top 2 teams from each pool advance to the GOLD division. 3rd and 4th place teams from each pool advance
to the SILVER division. The 5th place teams from each pool advance to the BRONZE division.
Pool seeding will be determined by (A) Pool Points (3 points will be awarded each match – 1 per set won, and the 3rd for
the largest point difference); (B) Win/Loss; (C) Point Differential for All Pool Play Matches; (D) Coin Toss

Officiating/Scoring - Each team must provide an up and down official (one must be a coach; for the 12s
the 1st referee must be the coach), 2 line judges, 2 scorekeepers, and a libero tracker when they are
scheduled to officiate. Be sure to check for officiating duties after a loss in play-offs. If you lose you
will officiate on the same court.

Balls - Please bring your own warm-up volleyballs. Balls will NOT be provided. Warming-up is allowed
ONLY in the fieldhouse. We will use VolleyLites for the 12s. If needed, the 12s can take a step over the
line for serving.

Concessions will be provided ~ we ask that no coolers be brought in ~ thank you for respecting this
policy. NO FOOD is allowed in the gym. Only bottles with resealable tops are allowed in the gym.

There will NOT be a trainer on site – please be sure to bring your own first aid kit.
•
There is an admission’s fee at the door - $5/adult, $2/child, children 5 and under are free.
*Gym opens at 7:30 a.m. There will NOT be a coaches meeting - please check in at the tournament table
when you arrive. If any changes to the tournament schedule need to take place the admission’s table will
let you know.
Limited seating available! Spectators may bring in rubber-bottomed chairs (captain’s chairs).
Spectators are NOT to be on the walking track in the Fieldhouse! Thanks for your cooperation.
