Instructions for Completing
Application for Travel Soccer Financial Aid 2012-2013
Arlington Soccer Association (ASA)
Applications should be returned as quickly as possibly
and must be postmarked by midnight June 29, 2012
to be eligible for financial aid.
The Arlington Soccer Association (ASA) will offer financial aid for ASA Travel Soccer Fees, to the extent possible, to
financially challenged youth and their families. If you are unable to afford the full cost of the ASA Travel Soccer
Fees, please complete the confidential application form below and return it, along with the required documentation.
Explanation of Financial Aid
Financial aid is only available to cover ASA’s travel soccer player club fee and one uniform kit. Financial Aid provided
by the club DOES NOT cover team fees and expenses (i.e. tournament fees, coach/player travel expenses or other
expenses budgeted by the team), optional uniform pieces and/or camps/clinics run by the club. Please contact your
Child’s team manager for an estimate of specific TEAM FEES (expenses). The uniform kit purchased by ASA
belongs to ASA and MUST be returned to the club when the player leaves the team.
Typically players on the free or reduced lunch program qualify for financial aid assistance.
The player club fee for the year is $1,530. Financial aid does not cover the entire fee. Players who receive the most
financial aid will still be responsible for a minimum of $400 of the player club fee along with any Team fees.
Instructions: To apply for a reduction of your 2012-2013 travel soccer club fees, you must submit a complete
Financial Aid Application, consisting of:
1) A completed and signed Application for Travel Soccer Financial Aid, and
2) A copy of one of the supporting documents listed in the application
To be considered, all required documentation MUST be received prior to the established Financial Aid deadline.
Financial Aid Applications that are submitted after the posted deadline will be considered in the order in which they
are received and on the basis of remaining financial aid funds.
Financial Aid Deadlines:
1. Applications must be postmarked by midnight Friday, June 29th to be eligible for financial aid.
2. Award/Acceptance letters will be mailed to Financial Aid recipients on July 6th.
3. The signed Acceptance letter and initial payment must be returned by July 16th or the player’s roster spot
and Financial Aid award may be awarded to another player.
