2016 Soccer Registration
Attention Parents:
Registration for the 2016 Soccer season will be accepted from Wednesday May 11th
through Sunday June 12th, 2016. The attached registration form should be completed and
returned to the Hope Township Municipal Building. Children, Pre K 4 through 8th grade
and children born on or after 1/1/2002 are eligible to play. High school children are
eligible to play provided that they meet the age requirement and do not play high school
soccer.
For children born between 1/1/2002 – 7/31/2010 the Soccer registration fee is $50.00 per
child. For children playing in the Kindergarten Division (which includes Pre K 4) the
Soccer registration fee is $20.00 per child. If your registration form is handed in after the
deadline, your child will only play if the team is not full. If the team is full, you will be
issued a refund.
If your child does not have an approved Hope Township soccer shirt, a shirt can be
purchased for $15.00. Please indicate the appropriate size and include an additional
$15.00 with the registration fee. The team coach will provide the soccer shirt prior to the
start of the season. The remainder of the soccer uniform consists of black shorts, black
socks, soccer cleats, and soccer shin guards, all of which the parent is responsible for
providing.
Families that participate in the Hope Township Soccer program are required to work in
the field house during home games, maintain the lines on the soccer field, and participate
in providing oranges, juices, or snacks for the team members (as decided upon by your
team). A team mom for each team will be required to coordinate all of this.
Teams typically practice 2 times per week but could practice 1 – 3 times per week
dependent upon the coach’s availability and/or weather. Practice days and times are
determined by the Head Coach and are dependent upon her/his availability. Games for
Division Three (Gr. 7/8) through six (Gr. 1/2) are played on Saturday’s beginning in
September with the last game typically played in mid-November. The Kindergarten /Pre
K 4 teams play the first game on the Saturday following the official start date of the
league, and the last game will be played on or around the last Saturday of October.
