Epson Portland Inc. is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to
join our Cleanroom Department.
We’re looking for an experienced
independently minded technician who can analyze machine efficiency by
inspecting and troubleshooting electro-mechanical and pneumatic automated
production equipment.
In this role you will be supporting production activities such as testing,
inspection, and modification of assembly and test equipment. The ideal
candidate will also conduct engineering tests/experiments to collect data and
recommend methods or actions to remedy issues.
Shift: A Shift / Sun – Tues/Wed / 4:45am – 4:45pm
Responsibilities











Perform testing and troubleshooting based on production and
engineering documentation
Direct production equipment set-up
Investigate and identify production processes and efficiency problems;
recommends improvements
Develop documentation for workmanship standards and assembly
drawings
Conduct engineering tests and evaluations to collect data or assist in
research work
Analyze machine performance using historical data to make suggestions
for improving product quality
Assist Equipment Technicians in qualifying part quality after machine
adjustments and in addressing machine issues
Conduct true cause analysis on a variety of issues
Develop proactive plans to reduce failures
Develop plans to reduce cost and/or increase efficiency
Follow and enforce company-wide safety programs including lock out/tag
out procedures, and ensures safety guards are in place and in proper
working order
Education, Training, and Skills

AA degree or equivalent experience preferred

2 years related experience in a manufacturing or engineering
environment preferred
Knowledge and application of quality tools and data collection
Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
Ability to read and understand production and engineering
documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical
documentation
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to use specialized diagnostic equipment
Basic Project Management skills
