Garrard County Boys Middle School Soccer Parent and Player Code of Conduct All players/parents participating in soccer at Garrard Middle School must abide by this code of conduct. Any violation of these rules may result in the revocation of privileges. I/we hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child/players participating in Garrard Middle Soccer. I/we will encourage good sportsmanship positive support for All players, coaches, and officials at every game and practice. I/we will engage in NO-Direction cheering. I/we will limit comments during the game to encourage my child and other players. I/we will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child/players ahead of my personal desires to win. I/we will insist that my child/players play in a safe and healthy environment. I/we will require that my child/players coach be trained in the responsibilities of being a youth coach and the coach uphold the Coaches' Code of Conduct. I/we will support coaches and officials working with my child/players, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. I/we will demand a sports environment free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all games and practices. I/we will remember that game days are for players - not Adults. I/we will remember to do our best to make soccer fun for my child/players. I/we will ask my child/player to treat other players, coaches, fans, parents, and officials with respect regardless of race, creed, sex or ability. I/we agree to be financially responsible for Garrard Co Middle School equipment/uniforms issued to the player, other than normal wear and breakage during games and practices. Further, I/we will reimburse Garrard Co Middle School for loss and/or damage to said equipment. I/we agree not to deliberately incite or participate in "unsportsmanlike" conduct at any Garrard Co Middle School function. I/we agree not to use abusive or profane language at any time at any Garrard Co Middle School function. I/we agree not to criticize, belittle, antagonize, berate or otherwise incite the opposing team, it's players, coaches, officials or fans by word of mouth or gestures. I/we agree to accept all decisions of the games officials as being fair and called to the best of their ability. I/we agree to follow the proper chain of command when filling a complaint or voicing my opinion regarding any possible rule infraction or concern within the district. (As follows): 1. 2. 3. 4. Head Coach Athletic Director Principal School Board I/we agree to take responsibility for any action that violates this code of conduct by guest or relative of attending parents/players. Any act of disrespect from a parent, fan, player or coach directed toward game officials creating a disturbance either in the stands or on the field, or has to be ejected from a game, practice or event, by the officials, the penalty will be handed down to that individual immediately by the Principal/Athletics Director or if need be by the school board. o However, any penalty assessed to any individual may be appealed in writing to the school board, within 72hours from the time the penalty was assessed. The appeal will be handled in accordance with the school board.
