Make sure all teachers have finalized their grade books. An easy way to do this is to go to Guidance…Open Grade Books. 2. Choose the term and grading period, then it will display all the grade books that have not yet been finalized. 3. Touch the email icon to send an automated email to the teacher reminding them to finalize their grade books. Once the email has been sent, the email icon will turn to a green checkmark to let you know that the teacher has already been emailed. 4. Report cards in the Elementary can be run by the Teachers or Office. We recommend having teachers create the report cards so they can ensure that all grades appear correctly. 5. Make sure all specials teachers have created and finalized grade books, so that their grades appear on the Classroom teachers' report cards. Create Report Cards 1. To create report cards for Elementary, go to Classroom…by Homeroom. 2. Select the Homeroom teacher name and touch “Apply”. 3. Once students are selected, go to Add New…Report Card PDF. Entering Comments 1. Go to Classroom…Skills Report Card and touch a student’s name. 2. Teachers will enter in the comment under the appropriate grading period. 3. They will use this same process for each grading period. Publish to Family Access 1. Go to Classroom… 2. Select….Report Cards. 3. Select the students to publish the report cards for. 4. Touch “Publish Report Cards”. Publish to Family Access 1. You are asked if you want to notify the students and parents that report cards are now available. 2. If you answer “No”, the report cards will still be published and available on the family access. 3. If you answer “Yes”, the mass email dialog will open and you can complete the mass email to notify parents/students about the report cards being available. If you choose create them for a homeroom, you will be able to enter in the specific homeroom teacher. 2. If you choose to create them for selected students, you will be able to checkmark the specific students or grade level you wish to run them for. 3. Choose the term and grading period. 4. Select if you wish for attendance and GPA/Rank to be on the report cards. 5. Decide how to sort the report cards and whether you want percent or open TBR balance reminders on them. Publish to Family Access 1. Go to Classroom… 2. Select….Report Cards. 3. Select the students to publish the report cards for. 4. Touch “Publish Report Cards”. Publish to Family Access 1. You are asked if you want to notify the students and parents that report cards are now available. 2. Go to Classroom…Check Preferences. In this view, you will see the grading scale, grading method and finalized status for each grade book. 2. Use the filter at the top to narrow down the view to a particular grading scale, teacher, grading method, etc. 3. If there are errors in the settings for a grade book, touch right on the grade book from this view. Then go to Tools…Change Preferences to correct the settings.
