Any interested students, boys and girls, beginners or experienced

Any interested students, boys and girls, beginners or experienced players, are encouraged to
attend practices to give the sport a try!! The club is a great way to have fun, be physically
active, learn a new skill, and meet your PE requirements (see ‘PE CREDIT’ below for more info).
Last year we finished the Spring Season with our highest ranking yet. Go Turbulence!!

November 4th. November 7th to December 16th , Fridays from 2:00-4:30 only. There will be
no practice Sept. 5th, October 14th, and November 11th. Additional tournament and game

has a key to the locked storage room near the field for keeping backpacks and laptops safe.
Bring: Soccer cleats (regular athletic shoes are ok for initial three practices). TWO (2) full
water bottles (there is a drinking fountain, but use of water bottles minimizes practice
disruption). Sport clothes (students may change in restroom near field or in community center
locker room).

Enrollment: Enrollment forms will be distributed via email and available at school, and at
practice. Enrollment forms and fee are due in the RAHS Office by Friday, September 18th.
Players may try the club sport by attending practice through Thursday, September 15th.
Enrollment forms and fee must be submitted to continue beyond Sept. 16th.
Forms list is attached, or see ‘FORMS’ below.
Fee: Each season (Fall and Spring) is $60, or $110 for both if paid by Sept. 16th. (Partial
scholarships are available for free lunch participants on request.) Each player must pay the fee,
including players who do not wish to play competitively. The fee covers a Frisbee for every
player, field rental, league and tournament fees, forms and field supplies, a coach stipend, and
misc. costs. Uniform and membership to Disc NW are additional fee’s required for competitive
play.
Volunteers are needed: We need two adults-on-site for each practice per PTSA rules. The team
has one coach, and a second adult must be present at all times. Please sign up to volunteer.
The district needs a background check form if you haven’t already filled one out.
Background check form information:
Those who haven’t yet completed a background check form, please click the link below,
print the form and return it, with a copy of your driver’s license, to the front office, in
person, via kid-delivery or mail. In Part One, fill in your name and that you’ll be helping
the coach and volunteering with teachers as needed (leave it vague for flexibility, in case
you’d like to volunteer in another AHS capacity this year). Check the box that you will
not be alone with students. Leave the sponsor and administrator names blank. Until you
receive notice that your paperwork has been approved, you can’t help at Frisbee or any
school activity. Mine took less than a week after my son delivered it to the office, and I
was notified about my being approved via email. Fingerprinting is not necessary unless
your volunteer work entails being the only adult with students.

PE CREDIT: Read CAREFULLY the RAHS P.E. contract (found in the RAHS lobby, through
advisors and counselors, and in ‘Student Handbook’ Players must have the contract
preapproved by school admin., and maintain an activity log. The current Handbook states that
students need to have earned 1.5 PE credits by the start of their junior year. 75 hours of
preapproved physical activity (such as Frisbee) earns 0.5 PE credits. We’ve estimated that a full
(no absences, and including pre-school practices) fall season of Ultimate Frisbee practice will
provide at least 60 hours, and players on the competitive teams will accumulate additional
physical activity hours. Players may supplement Frisbee practice time with another physical
activity to accumulate more hours, but this must also be pre-approved.
