To build basic understanding of macroeconomics to serve as a basic to
other courses.
To build students abilities in applying microeconomics and
macroeconomics knowledge with other knowledge in making decision.
To expose the students to macroeconomics theories to help them
understand the current economic situations.
SINOPSIS MATA
PELAJARAN
This course introduces students to the basic concepts of macroeconomics.
These concepts involve national income accounting, uses and limitation of
national income statistics, consumption theory, investment theory, the
determination of national income equilibrium, money and banking, monetary
policy, fiscal policy, national budget and debt, inflation, unemployment,
international trade, balance of payment and exchange rate.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Independently acquire a basic understanding of macroeconomic theory
2. Obtain the economics foundation required to facilitate their continued
studies in economics and business-related disciplines
3. Apply the knowledge in analyzing and understanding some current
economic situations
