On the first match of the season we had 6 lads and we
started with a win, and another and then some mixed results
before splitting in2 2 teams. 4 of them lads still play for the
newly formed lions and we won our 1st several matches
before the winter break.
•
Our results have slowly improved and our smiles are getting
bigger as was our squad size so we've recently split in2 3
teams.
•
4 of them lads that were their on day 1 all played with a few
new and not so new lads on Saturday 10th in a play-off in a
mini league that was called the bury mini league, and was
created by myself with massive help from a coach at
Radcliffe. We won that play-off and all the kids taking part
got a medal and the team won a winners trophy for the
Seedfield trophy cabinet.

Keep trying your best kids and keep having fun
Seedfield Leopards Under 7’s
Seedfield Leopards Under 7’s
The under 7's Leopards have just completed a fantastic first
season. The core group of 9 players have been reliable,
hardworking and enjoying their football.
Due to their commitment and hard work over the season there
has been huge progression in footballing terms.
At the beginning of the season a few lads had never played
football before and others didn't know the meaning of team
work.
Now though, every player is barely recognisable from when
they first started and as a result the Leopards are unbeaten in
the league since November 2016 and won the under 7 orange
cup in a thrilling cup final.
Well done!
Seedfield Lions Under 8’s
Seedfield Lions Under 8’s
I was appointed as coach and away we went first game first
win this was exciting this was the first time the boys had tasted
victory, it was a special day for all involved parents kids and
me, we proceeded to draw the next 2 and lose 1, sadly we only
played 4 games in the league, not to worry the cup competition
had just begun, 4 games in and we were into the semi-finals
against a team we had already lost too victory hear would see
us into the final in our first season.
WIN 4-3 we had done it we waited for the result of the other
semi and it came through both Seedfield teams were in the final
to face each other, Amazing despite the lack of victories early
on in the season it seems the decision to split the teams had
paid off.
The day came the boys were Excited I was Nervous mums and
dads Proud all the same emotions that were felt at the start of
the season.
Despite losing the cup final, all my boys came off the field with
nothing to be ashamed of they had gone from not winning a
game to going all the way to a cup final in there first season
and for me I didn't feel like we had lost I just felt PROUD.
Seedfield Pumas Under 8’s
Seedfield Pumas Under 8’s
The season started ok but started to get more players turning up. We
had no choice but to look at making a new team with the players we
had. Even split both managers were happy with the squad they had
both teams improved as the season went on.
Cup came just at the right time playing well, this is what I like about
the team not just the players but the parents as well the cup is
designed to give the players a taste of competitive football so Andy
and my self asked the players and parents if they would like it to be
Competitive games.
When the draw came out the Lions were in the same group. 1-1 in
group stage penalties for bonus point went to lions then we had some
rain and games called off. then at the end when all games had been
played the final both teams could have wished for.
Both teams played some of the best football of the season. Dean can
I say your training and hard work showed with the team.
The final score was 3-2 to the pumas but on any other day it could
have been completely different.
Seedfield Jets Under 9’s
Seedfield Jets Under 9’s
Seedfield Jets have endured a season that has seen
changes both on and off the field. Thanks to Rick
Gisbourne for stepping into the managerial position in my
absence, and a huge thanks to Owen for his commitment
to communicating with parents, assisting in coaching
and being a steady figure for the kids throughout the
season!
Despite the changes, performances have been generally
good with the boys looking to build on the emphasis of
playing through the thirds and team shape both in and
out of possession.
The Jets reached the semi final of the Orange cup. We
say goodbye and good luck to Kai Strange and Thomas
Ashton who have been with us through from
kindergarten, as well as to Mason and Riley Bowers. The
transition of 4 new players from the larger squad has
been smooth and the team already show signs of gelling
after just a handful of games.
Kindergarten
Team have done very well this season, they have worked hard
throughout the season.
Another great team going out at Under 7’s!
Seedfield Sharks Under 9’s
Seedfield Sharks Under 9’s
Sharks U9s had a great season. Going unbeaten from
November. Culminating in winning the cup. Each player has
shown great signs of improvement and it's been a pleasure to
coach them.
Thanks to all the parents for helping out. And thanks to John
Donaldson and Rob Rowland for assisting at training and match
days
Seedfield Jaguars Under 10’s
Seedfield Jaguars Under 10’s
Seedfield under 10s had a real season of two halves winning 7 of the
first 12 matches yet only 3 of the last 12. Although the stats are against
us it’s worth remembering that half way through the season we were
moved up to a higher group resulting in tougher opposition. However in
this tough stage we stayed competitive with most losses being only by
a single goal.
This was the case in the cup were in a difficult group (including the
eventual winners and the runners up) we took 2 games to penalties but
sadly we didn’t progress.
Congratulations to Callum Kirkham who finished our top scorer with 21
goals.
Also a big thank you to all the boys for their brilliant effort all season.
One thing is for sure whether we won, lost or drew the other team knew
it had been a difficult game.

Seedfield Panthers Under 11’s
Overall we had a good season, winning a lot of games but
on the odd occasion we we're are own worst enemy as
we could've gone 2 goals up early on in a match and the
lads obviously thought it's easy and game over and we
ended up losing a few games purely for that reason. But
over the season the lads have been amazing getting to
the semi final was a great moment for the lads and also
the parents we did lose the semi final purely down to bad
refereeing but as I explained to the lads who were
gutted, this is football, it happens we pick ourselves up
and continue to work harder.
As your probably aware the season finished on a really
bad note with the manager at the time Darren quitting,
trying to split the team and take nearly 3/4 of the lads to
his new team which caused arguments between parents
but we managed to keep a team together, some of the
team did leave with Darren, some lads were to upset with
what had happened to come back but we have a team
we've a lot to work on before the start of are first
competitive season but we're looking forward to it.
Seedfield Titans Under 13’s
Seedfield Titan Under 13’s
We've had a difficult season after winning the league last
season.
It's been challenging at times, but we have had some great
wins against some of the best teams in the league.
In particular convincing wins both home and away against
Kersal fc and finally winning Woodbank blacks.
The commitment of the players has been fantastic, and we
have managed to stay in the championship for another season.
Well done Titans.

We entered this league to challenge the players & myself as we thought
the team were becoming a bit complacent as they've played in the NBJFL
for years.
We didn't expect to end up having the season we have had this all goes
down to everyone giving 100% every week ,
To finish joint top & only fail to lift the league trophy due to a penalty
shootout only goes to show what a fantastic group of lads this team has
become.
