Installation Guide for Windows
Pre-Requisites:
Hard Disk Space: 330MB Free space
RAM: 3 GB or more
How to install
Step 1: Run QMetry_Automation_Studio.exe. It will start installer. Click on Next.
Step 2: Go through the agreement and accept the agreement. Click on Next.

Step 3: Select installation directory and click on next.

Step 4: Mark checkbox if you want to create shortcut and create start menu folder. Click on
Next and then finish to complete installation.

Step 5: It will start installation in selected directory. Wait while Setup installs QMetry
Automation Studio.
Step 6: To complete installation click on finish.

Run QMetry Automation Studio in Windows
Go to the installation directory. You will find QAS application in installation directory, double
click to run.

Pre-Requisites:
JRE 1.6 or above
You can download it from here.
Hard Disk Space: 616MB Free space
RAM: 3 GB or more
How to install
Step 1: Run QMetry_Automation_Studio.dmg. It will start installer. Click on Next.

Step 2: Go through the agreement and accept the agreement. Click on Next.

Step 4: It will start installation in selected directory. Wait while Setup installs QMetry

Go to the installation directory. You will find QAS.app application in installation directory,
double click to run.

Troubleshooting Guide for Windows
Problem: Object Spy not working.
step 1: Run Command prompt as Administrator.
Step 2: Go to path at
(PDE\plugins\org.mozilla.xulrunner.win32.win32.x86_1.9.2.9_20111004125\xulrunner)
Step 3: execute command: xulrunner --register-global
Step 4: Restart QAS.

Troubleshooting Guide for Mac OS X
Problem: Unbound classpath container: 'Default System Library' in project.
Go to QASStudio > Preferences.

Set compiler compliance level to 1.6

Now Select Java > Installed JREs.
Click ‘Add’.

Select ‘Standard VM’ and choose Next.

Set JRE Home to wherever your JDK has been installed and JRE name anything you want.
Hint: You may find JDK at /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home

Click Finish.
Problem: Object Spy not working.

Step 1: Download and Install the xulrunner-1.9.2.9.en-US.mac-pkg.dmg file for Xulrunner.

Step 2: Restart the QAS.app. It should work for Object spy as expected.
Problem: application is damaged and should be moved to trash
If you see a warning on Lion and above reading "QAS.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You
should move it to the trash."

Follow below step to set app preferences:
Step 1: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy:
Step 2: Set "Allow Applications Downloaded From" to 'Anywhere'.
