In 7 Card Stud, each player is dealt
three cards – two down and one up.
Bets are placed and then followed
by three more cards, dealt face-up.
The initial betting is made by the
player with the lowest card up. A
betting round takes place after
each deal. A final card is dealt facedown followed by a betting round.
The best five-card hand wins the
pot. On subsequent betting, action
is started by the highest ranking
hand.
No Limit Hold’em is a variation of
Texas Hold’em with designated
blind bets. Beyond that structure,
players may bet any or all (going “All
In”) of their chips in one bet at any
time when it is their turn to act.

Texas Hold’em is a board game that
uses a dealer button that determines
where the action will start. Designated
blind bets are used to stimulate action
on the first betting round. The player
closest to the left of the dealer will
post a small blind. The player to the
left of the small blind will post a big
blind.
Players are dealt two down cards (hole
cards) followed by a betting round.
Action starts with the player to the
immediate left of the big blind. This
betting round is followed by three
cards being dealt face-up in the
middle of the table, referred to as the
“flop.” There is a betting round after
the flop. Two additional cards (turn &
river) are then turned face-up next to
the flop, one at a time, with each one
followed by a betting round.
Omaha is similar to Hold’em, except
each player is dealt four down cards
instead of two. The betting is the
same as Hold’em; however, to make
a hand, a player must use precisely
two hole cards with any combination
of exactly three board cards.
Players may use any combination of
their two down cards and the five
board cards to create a winning fivecard poker hand.
Omaha is often played high-low
split, 8-or-better. You may use any
combination of two hole cards and
three board cards for your high
hand and another (or the same)
combination of two hole cards and
three board cards for your low hand,
as long as each card is made up of
precisely two hole cards and three
board cards.
