IPS 51 is partnering with Bright House Networks and Net Literacy to help promote online safety while having fun online.
Here’s how to win: In no more than three sentences, write what you would tell a friend, a classmate, or a family
member how they could be safe while having fun online. You must be a student attending IPS 51 to participate and if
you win, your entry may be posted on a website to help others learn how to be safe while having fun. Net Literacy
student volunteers will be the judge and select the winning entries. Their decisions are final and will be announced at a
student assembly in October. Write your answer on the back of this paper and turn in your answer to Will Henness,
Parent Involvement Education no later than September 25th.
Other netbook information: The Dell Latitude 2100 Netbooks have been refurbished by Net Literacy student volunteers
and each includes Windows 7 and Open Office as applications. These netbooks come without a warranty and parents or
guardians whose child wins must sign a Net Literacy “As Is Agreement” at the time that the netbook is picked up.
