RULES FOR 4 PERSON FOOTBALL
4 PERSON TEAMS
1. Quarterback
2. Left end
3. Right end
4. Center
**Rotation is from Right End  Quarterback  Left End  Center (clockwise)
EVERY NEW SET OF DOWNS, THE PLAYERS WILL SWITCH TO A NEW POSITION (every 1st
down)
Defense does not have to rotate
When the defensive team rushes, they have to say out loud, “One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three
Mississippi” before they cross the line of scrimmage.
In order to stop play, a defender must TAG the person with the ball with one hand.
(One hand touch)
There is no kicking allowed
Passing for kickoffs and 4th down situations
Only one running play allowed per 4 downs
**All balls that touch the ground are dead
Ex: When the center hikes the ball to the quarterback and they miss it and it hits the ground, its dead.
***4 downs to cross the midfield and then the offensive team has 4 more downs to score
EXTRA POINTS—they can be passed or ran for 1 point (ball is placed 10 steps from the end zone)
Once the ball is off the ground, the count starts for the play.
Ex: the center picks the ball of the ground and hikes the ball, the count begins…. All centers should keep the
ball on the ground.
**If the defense touches the ball in between downs, the offense is awarded an extra down!!!
