Young Digital Planet – a partner in creating the XXI century education
For 25 years we co-create the market of solutions for digital education in Poland and abroad.
We develop original technologies and educational assets. At the same time we always care
for their adaptation to the needs of all students.
We create high-quality multimedia content (e.g. lessons and educational programs, including
the therapeutic ones). We design and implement our own technological solutions to make them
available (e.g. E-learning platforms). Young Digital Planet is a certified partner of publishing
houses, accompanying them in their way from analogue education (using printed textbooks and
teaching aids) to the fully digital one.
A Chinese proverb says: Your teacher can open the door, but you must enter by yourself. This is
why we make sure that our products, based on advanced technology, affect the effectiveness
of teaching, which increases with interest, commitment and motivation of students.
We want to promote the education process comprehensively: to be a partner for teachers in
their activities, which open to children and young people the door to the world of digital
resources of knowledge.
Seven steps to success:
1. Complexity. We deliver a full spectrum of educational content and tools for its creation and
management: systems and platforms for storing and sharing content, as well as multimedia
educational programs in the offline and online versions.
2. Versatility. Our specialists prepare digital learning materials on several educational levels
(from pre-school to upper secondary). This content includes a variety of items, and is
consistent with the requirements of the core curriculum. An important part of these materials
are series devoted to special educational needs.
3. Professionalism. Our educational assets are created by a team of experts, supported by the
knowledge and experience of the best consultants and specialists from around the world. Their
professionalism is confirmed by numerous awards our solutions receive.
4. Individual approach. We offer tools and materials taking into account the diverse needs of
students, both those who learn without any problems, and those who are faced with different
challenges every day. Products designed for children and taking special educational needs into
account, have an important position in our portfolio. It is estimated that an average of 15
percent of all students in Europe have difficulties in learning to read and write.
5. Globality. We operate in over 45 countries, such as Indonesia, China, Chile, Malaysia,
Portugal, Saudi Arabia, USA and Brazil. We adapt our solutions easily to the needs of local
teachers and students.
6. Visionariness. Using the newest technologies in our solutions, we set directions of
development for digital teaching. In the recent edition of the Book of Trends created in YDP,
we identified 51 trends in education and described 22 examples of their use
(http://www.ydp.pl/ksiega-trendow-w-edukacji-2-0/).

7. Partnership. The foundation of our business is cooperation with an extensive network of
partners in Poland and abroad.
Finnish standards
YDP is part of Sanoma Learning - the educational branch of the Finnish media group Sanoma.
In the sector of solutions for the education Sanoma operates in the following markets: Belgium,
Finland, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden.
For years the code of conduct, that is Sanoma way, has been in force in the group:
1. Look ahead.
2. Share views and experience. Encourage others to do so.
3. Engage people in projects in areas that are important to them.
4. Make it happen - achieve effects step by step, through systematic actions.
Methods of digital education, developed by Sanoma Learning and using Finnish educational
standards, improve the effectiveness of teaching within the topics covered in the curriculum 95 percent of respondents said so in the survey conducted by the company in 2015. As many as
85 percent of teachers believe that these methods increase involvement of students, which
translates into better learning achievements. In addition, they save time spent on preparing
lessons: they shorten it by 8 hours per week on average. The methods proposed by Sanoma
Learning has been rated the highest in Poland, Sweden and Finland1.
The effectiveness of Finnish standards in teaching is confirmed by the results obtained by
students in the PISA survey. In the edition of the survey conducted in 2012, students from
Finland achieved the following results: in mathematics - 519 (the result obtained in Poland was
similar - 518), in reading - 524 (for comparison, in Poland - 518), in the natural sciences - 545 (
Poland - 526).
