Rom 12.4
We have many parts in the one body, and all
these parts have different functions. In the
same way, though we are many, we are one
body in union with Christ, and we are all joined
to each other as different parts of one body.
1 Cor 12.25
And so there is no division in the body, but all
its different parts have the same concern for
one another.
26If
one part of the body suffers, all the other
parts suffer with it; if one part is praised, all the
other parts share its happiness.
Eph 4.15,16
By speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we
must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the
head.
Under his control all the different parts of the
body fit together, and the whole body is held
together by every joint with which it is provided.
So…
when each separate part works as it should,
the whole body grows and builds itself up
through love.
Joshua 6.17-19
The city and everything in it must be totally
destroyed as an offering to the Lord…
18But
you are not to take anything that is to
be destroyed; if you do, you will bring
trouble and destruction on the Israelite
camp.

made of silver, gold, bronze, or
iron is set apart for the Lord. It is to be put in
the Lord’s treasury.”
Joshua 7.1
The Lord’s command to Israel not to take from
Jericho anything that was to be destroyed was
not obeyed. A man named Achan disobeyed
that order…
V4 About 3,000 Israelites made the attack
[against the city of Ai] but they were forced to
retreat. The men of Ai chased them from the
city gate as far as some quarries and killed
about 36 of them on the way down the hill.
Joshua 7.11
Israel has sinned! They have
broken the agreement with
me that I ordered them to

of the things condemned to
destruction. They stole them,
lied about it, and put them
with their own things. This is
why the Israelites cannot
stand against their enemies.
A man named Achan

Romans 5.12
Sin came into the world through one man, and
his sin brought death with it. As a result, death
has spread to the whole human race because
everyone has sinned…
It is true that many people died because of the sin
of that one man. But God’s grace is much greater,
and so is his free gift to so many people through
the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ.
