Please be sure to send kids to the Community Center in proper attire for
playing outside. Even though it is getting warmer, there is still a chill in the
air. Please be sure to send your kids with coats, boots, extra pants and
socks in case they get wet. Thank You!
Reminder from the Director:
Due to Safety Concerns we must ask once again, that parents park their car and walk in to pick up their children. We will
not release kids to younger siblings. Parents please do not park in the driveway, this causes real concerns and anxiety for
others trying to leave/pickup with their children. Also, just a reminder that there is plenty of parking available in the back of
the Community Center by way of Housatonic Street.
All communication concerning scheduling, pick up or other should come directly through this office. We need to be able to
document a/o track these requests. Please do not use our staffs personal phone numbers, text, and or Facebook. We
value the friendships forged, but it can become a problem if there is a staff absence or forgetfulness to communicate.

HIP HOP CLASS! Sara is back for another round of Hip Hop Class here at the LCC! The session will be
Mondays, starting May 1st – June 12th (No class on May 29th in observance of the holiday). Class will run from 4:00pm - 5:00pm,
and is open to children in grades 3-6. Cost is $20 for the six week session.
Chess Class is back for another session...so hurry in and sign up now!
Class will run Tuesdays, May 2nd – June 6th. Cost is $30 per session
Come play HOCKEY with Matt Merritt! Enhance your skills, hands on learning and games! Thursdays, April 27th – June 8th,
from 4:00pm – 5:00pm on the basketball court at the LCC. There is no cost for hockey and the session is open to all ages.
You must sign up.
ILLUSTRATION 101 – Do you love to draw? Then this class is for you! Emma Huber will be taking you through the stages of
learning how to draw. This time around the theme will be Springtime! Come and see what Emma has in store for you! The session
will run Fridays, April 7th – May 5th (No class April 21st), from 4:00pm - 5:00pm, and is open to children in grades 2-5.
Cost is $15 for the four week session.
Guys and Girls Night Out: There will be NO Guys or Girls Night Out this month due to April Vacation and the Morris
Elementary School Talent Show on the last Friday of the month. We hope to see everyone there supporting our students!

Friday, April 14th: It’s a Good Friday for No School! Today we will have outdoor play, as well as a few Easter
themed crafts. We will spend the afternoon baking cookies, and letting the kids decorate them using their
imagination and excitement for the Holiday weekend!
Monday, April 17th: What better way to celebrate Spring than to make our very own kites! Today the kids will have a chance to make their
own kites, decorate them, and then take them down to Orebed for their first flight. We will also have a Lenox-wide Scavenger Hunt with
prizes for the teams that get the most items checked off their lists. It is sure to be a great day for all!!!
Tuesday, April 18st: Today will be a day of outdoor fun! We will be down at Ore Bed Park for most of the day. The games will include
Wiffle Ball, Kick Ball, Soccer, and many more. Time to get some fresh air!  Of course we will have the normal arts and crafts on hand
and head back to our playground in the afternoon for some unstructured play.
Wednesday, April 19th: FIELD TRIP DAY! Today we will be heading to Interskate 91 in Wilbraham, MA! We will be leaving the LCC at
10:45am and will arrive back by 4:00pm. The kids will enjoy a day of roller-skating or rollerblading, laser tag, and have a lunch provided by
the rink. Lunch will consist of a hot dog and drink. Parents please send along a snack for your child. The cost of the trip is $15. YOU
MUST SIGN UP AND HAVE PERMISSION SLIPS TO THE LCC BY MONDAY, APRIL 10 TH!!
Thursday, April 20th: It’s Staff Throwback Thursday! Today the Staff of the LCC is going to bring the kids back in time to when we were
younger, by building forts “old school” style, using sheets, pillows, and furniture. There’s more than meets the eye to this day…kids must
wear their favorite pj’s and bring their favorite stuffed animal for the Stuffed Animal Contest. Stuffed animals will be judged by peers, and
the top three winners will walk away with tickets to the Beacon Cinema! After the fort building and Stuffed Animal Contest, the Staff will
pop some popcorn and throw in a movie to wind down the afternoon. As always we will have outdoor play and crafts to start the day. Get
some rest, because this day will surely keep you busy. 
Friday, April 21st: INTERGENERATIONAL LUNCH AND BINGO!!! Today your kids will enjoy a pizza lunch and a
few games of bingo with our Senior population. If you prefer to send your child with a bagged lunch, please feel free. In the
morning we will celebrate Earth Day at Lilac Park! Our group will take a walk down to the Park and enjoy the day with some
games and activities. The kids will also plant a flower and decorate their own flower pot to take home with them.

Summer Camp Program
Registration Starts April 3rd
The Lenox Community Center strives to provide a fun, safe
environment for all of our children who participate in our programs.
Our goal is to have a commitment from you as parents for your
child’s weekly attendance. This will ensure that the proper amounts
of supplies are ordered and that there is adequate supervision at all
times. We will be asking you to sign up and pay per session at the
time of registration for camp.
NO REFUNDS
Below is a look at our fee schedule.
SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM 9 Sessions:
Includes Field Trip.
8:45am-12pm: M, T, Th, and Fri.
Wed. 8:45am-5pm.
(Field trip day)
Lenox Residents: $60 per session
$200 family cap; per session
Non Lenox Residents: $100 per session
** The 9th session is $40 for Lenox Residents
and $60 for Non-Lenox Residents **
AFTER CAMP CARE: Noon-5pm - $20 per afternoon
To be paid each Monday, for the week.
Child must have bagged lunch.
