Victoria College Parental Code of Conduct It is expected that all parents of pupils at Victoria College understand and accept the aims and ambitions of the PE Department and its staff. The ethos of the PE Department at College is ‘Sport for all’ Our staff will provide as wide a range of sporting opportunities to as many of its pupils as is realistically possible. Competitive fixtures against other schools allow our stronger performers the opportunity to test themselves amongst similarly talented peers. Whilst not all pupils will represent the school in competitive fixtures all pupils, regardless of ability, are invited to attend practices. Parents can help to support this ethos by: Educating their child that doing one’s best is more important than winning. Supporting the choices made by teaching staff and their team selection. Supporting the College’s policy of ‘sport for all’ over elite sport. Please keep in mind during games the necessity to: Be a positive role model for our children. Encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and support for all players, teachers, officials and spectators. Not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, teacher, player or parent. Expect that their child treat other players, teachers, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, colour, sex or ability.
