Players Receive Over $400,000 in Cash Prizes at Big Payback II
Washington, DC – The Big Payback II promotion ended Thursday night with 15 DC Lottery players receiving
over $400,000 in cash prizes at DC Lottery Live Studios in Southeast Washington, DC. The evening’s big
winner, Alice Thomas, took home the grand prize of $250,000 and shared her excitement about winning on

The “Playing with the Stars” event was an invitation-only occasion for 50 randomly drawn DC Lottery players.
“Our players were excited about this promotion, and we were equally excited to give our players a promotion
like The Big Payback,” said Interim Executive Director Tracey Cohen. “It’s our way of thanking them for playing
the DC Lottery,” Ms. Cohen concluded.
Big Payback II awarded over $600,000 to players throughout its duration. The promotion’s 50 finalists were
vying for 15 prizes, including the grand prize of $250,000, one (1) - $50,000 prize, one (1) - $25,000 prize, one
(1) - $15,000 prize, one (1) - $10,000 and ten (10) - $5,000 prizes. For a list of winners, visit

The Big Payback II Second Chance promotion entry began August 2, 2015 and concluded September 8, 2015.
During this promotion, DC Lottery players purchased $5 purchase on a single ticket to receive ONE entry into
the Second Chance contest. Each entry contained a webcode to be entered online at dclottery.com. This
Second Chance contest was funded by the DC Lottery’s Unclaimed Prize Fund.
