Preparation of Free Form
by Unit Maker
A Free Form Request may be submitted for
obtaining permissions/approvals required for
both, Administrative & Customs functions
Select the Type of
Free Form
Click on Free Form

If User selects Form
type as ‘Admin’
Click on SAVE
The contents of the application
being submitted to the DC’s Office
needs to be mentioned here

type as ‘Customs’
A Customs Free form may be submitted for obtaining permission for
•Cancellation of a Customs Transaction
•Amendment of Customs Transaction or
•Others
User selects the ‘Free Form
Sub-Category’
Click on SAVE
The contents of the application being
submitted to the Office of DC Customs
needs to be mentioned here
Preparation of Free Form
by Unit Maker
On saving the details for the first time, a
unique Request id is generated
On saving General Details tab a message is
displayed as ‘Details saved successfully’

If any supporting documents are to be
submitted with Free Form, the details of
the documents have to be entered here

Unit Maker may
1. Cancel Free Form Request or
2. Submit the Free Form Request to Unit Approver

After selecting Request
Status, click on SUBMIT

Confirmation screen appears
with “Confirm” and “Cancel”

Unit User can confirm the
request by clicking here

Unit can click on Request Id to
view contents of Free Form
If Unit Maker prepares a Free Form but does not
submit, the request will remain in his Inbox

As a Unit Maker submits the Free Form
Request, which comes to Unit Approver’s
Inbox

Unit Approver may
1. Send back the request to user who has prepared it
2. Submit the request to DC Office or
3. Cancel the request

After selecting “Request Status”,
click on SUBMIT

If DC Office raises a deficiency, the request
will come to Unit Approver’s Inbox

Free Form for
Cancellation of Customs transaction
Unit may apply for cancellation of a Customs
transaction which they have already submitted
to the Office of DC Customs
For cancellation of customs transaction, Unit user
Should select “Cancel Customs Transaction” from
the drop-down.
Select the Request Type
from the drop-down
Unit may either search for the
request id of the customs
transaction or manually enter it
With the help of the request
submission date range, User
can search its request.

2. Submit the Free Form Request to Unit Approver

forwards the request.

User needs to search the request through Search

inbox of user, where it was previously present. The
request will be now in ready for action.

Unit Approver’s Inbox , where the
Shipping Bill request is in active mode
The request is in editable mode
Unit Approver’s Inbox , where the
Shipping Bill request is under cancellation
process at DC Customs Office.
The request forwarded for
Cancellation will be in a
deactivate mode
The user can view the status
of Cancelled Request
The status of the Customs Transaction for
which ‘Free Form for cancellation ‘request
had been submitted may be viewed
