BERMUDA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION P O Box HM 745 Hamilton HM CX Tel: 441-295-2199 Fax: 441-295-0773 E-Mail: [email protected] Match Day Protocols for Children’s & Youth Matches The following protocols will be used for Children’s &Youth Leagues Coaches must be aware of the following: Team sheets will be completed in advance of the game and handed to the Match Commissioner at the end of the game. Teams will turn up 20 minutes before their scheduled match Coaches will be responsible for placing the goals in the appropriate place for their matches. Match Commissioners will instruct coaches to the appropriate goal locations. 1st teams playing will move the goals from secure location, last teams playing will return the goals to secure location. Under the direction of the Match Commissioner Matches will be 3 x 20 minute periods with no break until the end of the 2nd period where a five minute team talk can take place All games will start on the starters (Match Commissioners) horn/whistle! Teams not ready for the start of the game will start the 2nd period Teams not ready for the 1st or 2nd period will not play at all! Every team must have a designated referee with them who will referee one period minimum. Any coaches who do not bring a ref will have to do it themselves! All Parents MUST stay behind the perimeter fencing or designated areas at all times! Match commissioners will enforce this via the coaches! Once games are over teams must clear away from the field immediately so the next games can get underway. Once a game starts players will have to stay in designated areas. All trash must be cleared and place in trash cans at the end of the game. Post match team talks must take place away from the match fields. Any concerns should be directed to the Match Commissioner who will have direct contact with the Technical Department. A copy of the entire BFA Youth rules have been sent to all clubs/teams. All matters raised by Match Commissioners to the Technical Department will be dealt with swiftly via the Player Development Committee. All coaches have been made aware of their roles and responsibilities via their D License Course and it will be the coach’s responsibility to adhere to all of the above protocols. Parents should be made aware of these protocols prior to the first game being played with signed codes of conduct held via each club and team. For the good of the game!
