Create and institutionalize policy dialogue spaces and mechanisms among OAS member states; Establish cooperation mechanisms among OAS member states to foster their mutual understanding and knowledge; Deepen the inter-sectoral and inter-institutional collaboration. Field visits, Webinars, Videoconferences; (included in the -Institutionalization of the Working Groups as the mechanisms Mandates for to channel policy dialogue and cooperation. Action- VII Summit -Increased mutual knowledge and understanding among OAS of the Americas) member states through Working Groups and the Virtual Platform for Educational Cooperation in the Americas. Building of an intersectoral Education Agenda -Two spaces for promoting inter-sectoral policy dialogue among Ministers of Education and Labor were created within the respective Ministerial Meetings to discuss the reduction of the skills gap to facilitate socio-labor insertion of young people. -Participation in the Organizing Committee of the I Forum of Chancellors of the Americas- VII Summit of the Americas Building of a collaborative Education Agenda Interest generated in international and regional organizations in the building process of the Inter-American Education Agenda: UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank, ECLAC, IDB, OUI, etc. Foundations for the creation of the Alliance for the building of the I.A.E. Quality Education • State of the art on school improvement networks on governance and pedagogy (curriculum, administration, infraestructura) • Inter-sectoral collaboration models of intervention • Innovation and experimentation Teaching Profession • Validation and recognition mechanisms for short courses in teacher continuing education and professional development developed by Min. of Ed. • State of the art on teacher preparation and profesional development • Social and profesional value of teachers Early Childhood • State of the art on Inter-sectoral articulation models for intervention in the field, and the role of the Ministry of Education in Teacher Training • Development of recommended standards and curriculum Cooperation between Ministries of Education Inter-American Education Agenda: cooperation projects(2017) SDG#4 Institutionalization of cooperation and policy dialogue mechanisms to reduce the educational development gap (2017-2020) More intersectoral cooperation SDG #17- Joint Ministerials Increase the policy dialogue: mandates prioritized. (2014) Support the building of an Inter-American Education Agenda: cooperation opportunities in specific themes (2015/2016) Policy DIalogue Consultation on Work Plans and participation of member states in Working Groups Implementation period: December 2015- February 2016 Mechanisms Virtual consultation process Fora in the Virtual Platform for Educational Cooperation in the Americas Onsite meetings with Permanent Missions with Working Groups Virtual meetings with Ministries of Education with Working Groups Systematization and analyze the results obtained through the consultation process and the meetings held Indicators Number of countries that participated in the virtual consultation process Number of countries that joined the Working Groups Number of Permanent Missions and Ministries of Education that participated in virtual and onsite meetings carried-out. Working Plans enriched through the feedback received by Member States. Working Plans will be considered at the VII Regular Meeting of the CIE. Effective participation of Permanent Missions and Ministries of Education in the consultation processes, Working Groups and the execution of projects. The building process of the Inter-American Education Agenda continues with the support of the CIE Authorities and its Executive Committee. Strong political support from the Member States to the building and implementation of the I.E.A: ratification at the 2016 y 2017 OAS General Assembly, and VIII Summit of the Americas Ministries of Education Actions: -Adequate initial teacher preparation and professional development to strengthen the educational systems to develop capacities for labor insertion/reduction of the skills gap. Ministries of Labor -Increase the access and improve the quality of post-secondary studies (technical-vocational and university) Universities -Create opportunities for decent Jobs Youth Business Sector Generate diaolgue and cooperation spaces and mechanisms (on education policies, using new information and communication) Provide tecnical assitance to develop political dialogue processes, systemize the results, design execute and evaluate cooperation projects, based on priorities identified during policy dialogue. Management of the Virtual Platform for Education Coopertion of the Americas: identification and uploading of pracices, news, and resources. Social Media management.
