Determination of admission arrangements 2018-19
Schools/Academies that are responsible for setting their own admission arrangements must formally
determine them by 28 February 2017. This statutory requirement applies whether you have consulted
on changes or not. The law requires the Determination of your arrangements to be formally recorded
at an Admissions Committee meeting or full Governing Body meeting.
As soon as your admissions arrangements are Determined, you are required to send them to the
Local Authority ([email protected]) soon after. All admission arrangements must then be
published on your own school website and on the Council’s website by 15 March 2017.
Please be reminded, you are required to publish all documents associated with your admission
arrangements. This will include – Supplementary Information Form, Religious Information Form, and
forms used for Aptitude registration. Schools that are a priority area must also provide a map.
To assist you in this process, please find an accompanying guidance document on the consultation
and determination process and supporting template notices for your school’s website.
