We learned that God helped Cain see his sin and that God still loved him and offered forgiveness. God loves us even when we sin and He wants us to love others when they sin against us. 4/K News We moved onto letter Dd. We learned a song about a donkey and Ducky Duddle. We also had our second Show & Tell. We are getting better at sharing our thoughts with our friends. We had tasting day on Tuesday. We tasted raisins, Kix, Cheerios, Chex, gold fish crackers, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, oyster crackers, mini marshmallows, white chocolate chips. After we tasted one of each we decided if we liked the taste or not. If we liked the taste we scooped some into our Ziploc bag. After the bag was full of the ingredients we liked we shook the bag and made Gorp. Today we used all five of our senses to taste, see, touch, smell, and hear popcorn. Next week we will start our Fire Safety Unit and letter E. Thank you to the many parents who sent the Gorp item to school, and drove, and chaperoned the trip to the fire station. Each morning when there is dew or rain water on the playground equipment, three boys from Mr. Oechler’s class dry it off. Thank you Justin Lenz, Bryce Dittmann, and Sawyer Rolfs, we really appreciate not getting wet bumpers at recess. Next Thursday, October 13th is 4/K Family night from 5:30 – 7:00. Please RSVP as soon as possible, I need to get the groceries for the supper. You can call me at (920)867-3205 or (920)588-7253. Thanks. On Sunday, October 16th we sing in the 10:30 church service. I will send details next week. 3 Year Old Preschool News We started a unit on fire safety this week. We’ll use a fire safety booklet the Weyauwega Fire Station, gave to us. Please go over the things we learned at home, too. Find a meeting place and talk about your escape plans. The booklet will not come home until it is completed. On Monday we talked about going to the fire fighter if he or she is calling for you. Don’t hide. The firefighter will take you to your mom or dad.
