SCORING FOR NETBALL COURT: TIME: UMPIRE: SECTION: TEAM A TEAM B E 12345 O 123456789 TEAM NAMES. PUT E (even centre pass) OR O (odd centre pass) ENTER GOALS SCORED. (Numbers not tally lines.) CHANGE ODDS & EVENS (if ball is in play). KEEP ODDS & EVENS THE SAME (IF GOAL HAS JUST BEEN SCORRED). Team names will be entered on the score card. At the start of the game teams will toss to see who will take the first centre pass or can choose which end to shoot. The team who chooses the first centre pass will be the even (E) team on the score card at the start of the game. The other team will be the odd (O) team on the score card at the start of the game. When a goal is scored it is marked on the score card. The centre pass is determined by ‘adding’ the scores to see if it an even or odd number. ie Team A has 5 goals & Team B has 9 goals. 5 + 9 = 14 = an even number so even centre pass. OR 2 even & 2 odd scores make an even (centre pass) & an odd score & even score make an odd (centre pass) ie Team A has 4 goals & Team B has 4 goals = 2 even scores so even centre pass. Team A has 3 goals & Team B has 6 goals = an odd score & even score so odd centre pass. At the end of quarter & half time if the ball is in play (ie no goal has just been scored) when the whistle blows for time the odds & evens on the score card are swopped over. So the team that started the previous quarter as even will start the next quarter as odd. At the end of quarter & half time if a goal has just been scored as the whistle blows for time (ie the centre pass has not been taken) the odds & evens on the score card stay the same. So the teams that started the previous quarter as even will stay as even.
