Document Overview
The purpose of the Trainer Assessor Profile is to demonstrate compliance with Clauses 1.13-1.24 of the
Standards for RTOs 2015 and to establish that Trainer Assessors have:

a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a qualification in adult education at a diploma or
higher level

vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed

current industry skills directly relevant to the training/assessment being provided

current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and
assessment

Information recorded in this section needs to demonstrate the Trainer Assessor’s formal qualifications, work
experience and professional development undertaken, to maintain current knowledge, skills and
competencies as trainer assessors in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
Section 2 - Industry Qualifications, Skills & Currency
Information recorded in this section needs to demonstrate the Trainer Assessor’s formal qualifications, work
experience and professional development undertaken over time, to maintain current skills and competencies
in the industry that is related to the training products they deliver and assess.
Section 3 - Mapping of formal training, skills & currency against units of competency
The purpose of this section is to map the Trainer Assessor’s industry qualifications, skills and currency
against each unit of competency they deliver and assess.
Section 4 - Trainer Assessor declaration and RTO authorisation to deliver training and assessment
This section is to confirm the accuracy of the information provided by the Trainer Assessor in their profile and
to provide authorisation for the delivery of the allocated training by the CEO, Manager or RTO Authorised
Delegate. This section must be signed by both the Trainer Assessor and the RTO authorised delegate.
