Reuters:Chinahaslaunchedareviewintopotentialanti-competitivebehaviouracross80
majorindustries,includingautos,pharmaceuticalsandalcoholicdrinks,anofficialfromthe
StateAdministrationforIndustryandCommerce(SAIC)saidonWednesday.
SAIC,oneofChina'stwoanti-trustregulators,sentanoticetothecountry'smajorindustry
associationslastmonth,askingthemtohelpcollectinformationfromtheirmember
companiesinananti-monopolysurvey,accordingtoastatementonChina'sautomobile
dealers'associationpostedlatelastweek.
Thesurvey,whichcouldtakeseveralmonths,isnottargetinganyspecificindustries,butis
aimedateradicatinganti-competitivebehaviorsinallsectors,QiuZhongyi,anofficialatthe
ministry'smarketorderdepartment,toldReuters."We'refarfromreachinganyconclusion
yet,butit'spossiblethatthesituationismoresevereinsomeindustries,suchasauto,"he
