Paléo Festival, EPFL and routeRANK are pleased to invite you to a joint event in which Paléo
Festival and EPFL will present how the implementation of the routeRANK Widget on their
respective websites has improved the way they manage their visitors’ travels.
Paléo Festival and EPFL are examples of an event organiser and an institution respectively that
receive an important number of visitors who can now easily and quickly find their way to them. The
Widget brings routeRANK’s technology onto its partners’ websites and enables visitors to save
money and time, as well as to reduce their environmental impact.
This may be relevant for your event or institution, providing an additional helpful and relevant
service to your visitors. Furthermore, showing your visitors the CO2 emissions of their different
journey options and offering the possibility to offset them helps the environment and further
contributes to your environmentally friendly image as well.
The event will take place on January 22nd, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Parc Scientifique in

About Paléo Festival – the case of an event organizer
With six days and nights of festivities, 230,000 spectators expected, over 230 concerts and shows
taking place on six stages, and a total of 200 stalls on site, Paléo Festival Nyon is the biggest
open-air festival in Switzerland and one of Europe¹s major musical events. Such a gathering
requires efficient public transport planning and communication around how to get to the Festival.
routeRANK, a young company with innovation and sustainability in its philosophy rapidly imposed
itself as an ideal partner to promote the various transportation solutions offered by Paléo.
This is why for the past 3 years, Paléo Festival and routeRANK have been working together in
helping the festival visitors find their way to the Festival location, also taking into account their
carbon footprint. Thanks to the routeRANK Widget integrated on the Festival’s webpage
http://yeah.paleo.ch/en/page/public-transport, visitors can easily obtain all the possible routes from
their location to the Festival location, taking into account traffic diversions, special schedules as
well as extra trains and buses in operation for that occasion.
About EPFL – the case of an institution
The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) is Europe’s most cosmopolitan technical
university. It receives students, professors and staff from over 120 nationalities. With both a Swiss

widget enables the numerous visitors that EPFL receives every day to easily find the best travel
options by simply introducing their place of departure. The arrival location is preset by EPFL
depending on which part of the campus the relevant building or event is located.
