Meeting with Robert E. Lee: All funding from committee, waiting to see where community
support is once park is built.
Design depends on cost aspect.
Goals and visions: develop a public dog park, park is open, friendly and inviting, maintenance
free as possible, construct in phases, facilities for future expansion and development, park
open year round.
Thinking of having an honest system for fees if we have them. Are we going to have parking
for special events?
Street parking is not very accommodating. Estimate about 5-10 cars in the parking lot at a
time. Accommodate for 50 parking spots.
Chain-link, 6 foot fencing. Wood post inexpensive, 4x4. 2 entrances, one for entering and one
for exiting for both small dog and large dog areas. Small dog area about 50x50 feet minimum.
Would like set paths in the park. Comparing options, woodchip, gravel, asphalt, or concrete.
Brown Cty Police dept would like to donate towards a memorial item for Canine Officer Wix
who recently passed away.
We discussed Natural Elements in the park for agility and seating.
Paul has a volunteer to make benches if needed.
Port-A-Potty rental will cost us about $100/mo.
We would like a Gazeboe with concrete floor
Signage will be needed at entrance and in park.
Committee will need to discuss garbage removal with V.O.B.
Garrett would like to share ideas at nect meeting for continuous findraising.
Garrett will provide drafts at next committee meeting on Sept 25.
