Need to Know
Reservations: Hotel at Oldtown will be our host hotel located at 830 E First Street in Wichita. For reservations call
Hotel at Oldtown at 877-265-3869 and mention KPIA. Our room block and rate of $117 (Queen), $127 (King) expires
August 3rd. Room reservations include free hot breakfast buffet, free parking in the attached garage, and free wired and
wireless Internet.
Full Registration: includes all meals/events, breaks, CE sessions, and class materials for both days of convention.
Thursday or Friday Only: includes breaks, CE sessions and class materials for that one day only.
Note: Golf Tournament, Tailgate Party and Baseball game are NOT included in one-day only registration fee.
Continuing Education: CE Class only registrations are welcome. Call the PIA office for single class registration fees.

Loss Control Credit Guidelines: Utica Policyholders: To receive the Loss Control Credit the following number of staff need to attend.

Liberty Mutual Policyholders: Loss Control Credit is based on number of staff in attendance.
5% for 5% to 10% of staff in attendance

The course will begin with a review of a sample Beneficiary Provision and then
discussion will follow concerning how important it is for the agent to get it right.
Review what the insurance market was like in the early 1970s, run ahead to the
introduction of Universal Life, and discuss Current vs. Guaranteed cash value. Then
proceed to insurance as an “investment”, and conclude with Fixed vs. Variable
Products and The General Account vs. The Separate Account.
