Probability Space Tables
A probability space table is a way of
organising the possible outcomes when
TWO events happen at the same time.
Example
A die and a 50p coin are thrown at the same time.
How many different results [e.g. Head and 1] can
this event produce?
Answer = 12
The result could be 1 and H etc……..
This can be organised more effectively in a
table rather than a list.

even number?
The result could be 1 and H etc……..

Example
A spinner numbered 1, 2, 3 & 4
and a £1 coin are thrown at the

Draw a space table to list the

Example
Two dice are thrown at the same time and the scores on each
die are added together.
Construct a table to demonstrate the possible totals.
