Getting Started Guide
What is IGCSE?
International General Certificate of
Secondary Education.
Students will face IGCSE at the end if the grade 11.
Selection of stream?
Grade 9 is the first stage of choosing a stream.
1. Why?
2. What is good and what is bad?
Options..
EDEXCEL offers two options
Commerce
 Science
 When they choose?
 Normally at the end of 9th grade.(grade 10)
 SSLSD offer this selection at the end of grade 8 (Grade 9)
Failures in the history
Students start hating their subject after some time.
Some quit their subject midway.
Start feeling frustrated about the wrong decision.
why?
Because their decision is influenced by:
-peer pressure
-parental pressure
-due to lack of knowledge
Hence, it is very important for any student to choose the
stream carefully for better career prospects in future.
The role of parents
Positive parenting involves giving valuable advice and
support to help children to grow in an area of his interest
and abilities.
