Changes:
There will no longer be an 8x200m Relay. It will only be a 4x200m Relay. In order to
keep the meet from ending late, the opening heights have been set and are not
negotiable. We will NOT be addressing them in the coaches meeting. Please pay
attention to these heights in the field events section of this memo. The 100m/110m
shuttle relays will now be AFTER the 4x200m relay and BEFORE the sprint relay. The
4x1600m Relay will be ran as a relay.
Medals:
Top three in each relay will receive medals.
Events:
All events will be run as finals. Each event will have only one heat with the exception of
the co-ed shuttle hurdle relay and the 300m intermediate hurdle relay. The long and
triple jump areas will be open for one hour. Jumps will be cafeteria style; the best
jumps from all three competitors will be added together to determine the winner. No
tape is allowed on jumping surfaces. Shot and discus will be put into flights (2 teams at a
time throwing). Each thrower will be allowed 3 throws; the best throws from all three
competitors will be added together to determine the winner. High Jump and Pole Vault
will be run as a regular meet as far as heights.
Opening heights:
The opening height for the girls’ high jump will be 4’4” with the bar raising 2” after each
clearing height. The opening height for the boys’ high jump will be 5’ with the bar raising
2” after each clearing height. The opening height for the girls’ pole vault will be 7’ with
