INTRODUCTION
WHO WE ARE?
The Conseil jeunesse francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (Francophone Youth Council of British Columbia) is a nonprofit as well as a charity organization who has been running since 1989. Its mission is to represent, promote and
develop the interests of Francophones and Francophiles youth in British Columbia.
WHAT WE DO?
We have two main areas of expertise: Events and Workshops.
1)
Events: We organize 2 big events annually: BC francophone youth parliament and BC francophone games.

2) Workshops: We also offers different workshops for schools with French programs. A team of facilitators of
the organization will go directly to your school to deliver the program you choose. For more information

It’s an easy 3 step process :

will meet your needs.

3) We will send you a quote and contact you to talk about the logistic.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE DIFFERENT WORKSHOPS
NAME :
DESCRIPTION
IMPROVISATION
A wide range of activities will make the students more and more
comfortable with the various ways of expressing themselves.
Activities are planned in order to facilitate a progression in their
communication.
AGE RANGE
Grade 8-12
KEY BENEFITS
The students will develop their spontaneity, creativity and practice
different vocabulary.

NAME :
DESCRIPTION
TEAM BUILDING AND LEADERSHIP
This workshop is designed to help the students experiment the
different roles in a team, get to know how a good leader needs to
interact with the other members of the group in order to achieve
their common goal. Team challenges, communication activities along
with decision making are all the ingredients for a team building day.
AGE RANGE
Grade 8-12.
KEY BENEFITS
Students will get to learn about themselves, their strength within a
team. They will also learn about the basics of leadership.

DESCRIPTION
STUDENT COUNCIL
Our student council program is designed to help students make a
project become real. They will experience the planning of a project
from having their idea to being part of the execution. Students will
need to use the strength of all their members in order to accomplish
their goal.
AGE RANGE
High school students
KEY BENEFITS
The group will develop a better team spirit, will be more motivated
and will have more tools to organize activities in the school.

ORAL COMMUNICATION
DESCRIPTION
The goal of this workshop is to offer students opportunities to express
themselves. Emphasis is made on oral communication under many of its
forms. Students will spend their day arguing, brainstorming and simply
discussing with each other’s while practicing key vocabulary.
AGE RANGE
Grade 8-12
KEY BENEFITS
Students will get to practice their vocabulary while playing with their
teammates.

where classes were eligible to win a full day with the Conseil
jeunesse. The day that this class won was a day full of oral
communication games, so don’t focus at the context of the video, but
more at the type of activities students take part of.

RADIO EXPERIENCE
DESCRIPTION
This workshop is meant to initiate the students to the various steps
of production of a radio show with the ultimate reward of
broadcasting their own show.
AGE RANGE
Grade 8-12
KEY BENEFITS
Students will get to practice their writing in French in preparation for
the diffusion. Students will also practice their oral communication.

YOUNG LEADERS
DESCRIPTION
This workshop is offered specifically to grade 7-8 students and includes a
wide variety of activities. Whether it’s introducing leadership under form of
games or doing activities to get them to learn about themselves, our
program is designed to make them have a great day in French.

Improved personal knowledge, introduction to leadership, oral
communication.
