per week. If he makes an average of $80 per shift in tips, what is his gross
weekly wage?

He worked 8 hours last Friday and made $213 in tips. What was his gross pay for
the shift?
16. A salesperson at a furniture store earns $9.50 per hour and receives a 1%
commission on all sales. Determine the gross earnings of the salesperson who
worked 40 hours one week with sales of $7000.
17. Ralph sells furniture. He receives a salary of $550 plus a 5.5% commission on his
daily sales. He works 5 days a week. Calculate his earnings for each week and the
